Beige marble bathrooms have two-person soaking tubs, and rainfall showers. Pillow menus and boxes for undisturbed 24-hour room service are nice touches. All suites have free minibars (restocked daily with beer, soda, and water) and Nespresso coffeemakers. In-suite tech includes 42-inch flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, docking stations for Apple products, tablets stocked with hotel information, and free Wi-Fi. Some suites extend directly into a small private outdoor pool area. Views are of the gardens or the ocean (full and partial views available), and all suites have simply furnished stone-floor balconies or terraces. Decor is similar to the public spaces and features dark wood, beige fabrics and marble floors, and natural accents such as wall-mounted wooden tree designs. Paved pathways lead around the resort, parts of which are located uphill, including the lobby, some restaurants, and entertainment facilities (golf carts are provided). This private resort and golf community is accessed via a security checkpoint and located just north of Cancun. If they stepped up their food game, it would be on par with our favorite family vacation spot thus far-The Finest.Built in 2014, Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort occupies wood-accented white stone buildings on the beach in Playa Mujeres. I think the staff and the property make it a worthwhile visit. Overall, I would recommend this resort to families. I feel like the restaurant choices were fairly limited and we didn’t have a stand out meal while there. Not great, but this is not surprising, as is the case with most all-inclusive (especially those that are family friendly). The kids loved these options! The food was good. There was entertainment daily by the pools as well, with machine surfing and bungee trampoline another day. It was not a problem the remaining nights, however. This was disappointing, as we had to opt for indoor dining and miss the amazing food and entertainment that night. ![]() I will say, for some reason, the first night, we were literally swarmed with mosquitoes at the outdoor entertainment (which was on Mexican night). So patient with my 9yo and the other boys his age who were quite rambunctious. Diana-you are so great at what you do! Another shout out to Marisol, who also was fantastic with kids. Special shout out to Diana at the Kids Club, as she came and sought out my daughter one day that we were sitting by the pool, and my daughter thought she was the coolest/nicest ever! She was super sweet and never put off when my daughter saw her the rest of the week and went running up to her, even during the nightly entertainment. We have previously been to The Finest, Paradisus, and Generations, as a family. After much research, we settled on the Majestic. We booked the Majestic last minute, as the extended winter where we live finally got to us. ![]()
